Back and forth we sway like branches in a storm

Last weekend I went to Montreal, Quebec for the weekend with one of my closest girlfriends to get away from Toronto just for a little bit. I packed Thursday evening and left right after work Friday afternoon. Getting to the bus terminal after work was a tad bit stressful because of the rush hour. I swear I almost didn't make it on time but since I went to another terminal - I caught the bus on time (Thank god). I finally met up with my girlfriend on the bus and we caught up with snacks and music. Though our seats were extremely uncomfortable (I think my neck was about to break during the entire 7 hours), I loved our bonding time. We were the first ones off the bus and hopped into a friend's car then headed to Tonic Nightclub. The next day we had lunch and spent the day in downtown Montreal and most of our time at Old Port. I was extremely upset that I didn't have my DSLR on me because Old Montreal was absolutely beautiful. There are some areas where it's so culturally-orientated - cobblestone, paintings, old statues... etc. Surprisingly, I bumped into a couple friends from Toronto when we were roaming around downtown. That night we decided to meet up with them and go to Muzique nightclub (amazing house music). The next day we visited family and had to go back to Old Montreal in the rain because we loved it so much. I'm hoping to go back during the wintertime when the city is covered in blankets of snow and visit my lovely new friends from Montreal.

I can't wait any longer for my T1i.

Anticipation

I hate getting bad news back from the doctor. Just hoping everything will be better soon (really really really...soon). Totally missed out on dinner with the co-workers - wish I had gone to hang out with everybody ugh. But I'm stuck at home cleaning and packing for Montreal tomorrow since I'm leaving literally right after work. It's going to be such an uncomfortable ride there but whateverrrr - don't care :) Yaung and I are taking one of those coach buses down there.. and helllll yuuuhhh, adventure is calling for us this weekend. I can't wait to be back in Montreal again. Hopefully they'll have cute little boutiques for me to shop in :) I wish the other girls were coming though b/c it would've been so fun (yes you Vee and Tee). On another note, my Steven Madden boots arrive tomorrow! WOO so excited.. but I don't even know if I'll get to see it before I leave for MTL haha. Honestly, I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas or something. I've been checking the mailbox across the field (cause Markham houses are wierd like that) everyday after work to see if my Swarovski necklaces have arrived yet.. Sadly, they haven't. Come faster please!

La Dolce Vita

For a couple years now I have always wanted to spontaneously travel to a new country, live there, and experience their culture full-out. I know that it would be difficult to adjust my lifestyle to it but it's a challenge that I believe will be valuable to me as an individual. It will definitely help me grow as a woman considering all of the new things I will learn. This Summer, I've taken one of my life goals into a lot of consideration by doing a lot of researching in the last few days. I have been on numerous websites, emailing different international and local programs that organize individuals like myself to have a placement for a couple of months in another country. Hopefully everything works out in time. And hopefully, they aren't scammers.

Besides all of that, I started a new book (finally reading something other than a textbook). I'm currently reading The Guardian by Nicolas Sparks who is one of my favourite authors. I'm a sucker for cheesy-romance - what can I say. Hopefully when my work term is over, I'll be able to finish it :)

Lately I've been doing A LOT of online shopping. I find myself browsing eBay a lot for random things... hahaha. I ordered myself a pair of Steve Madden boots for F/W'10 in Candence. I'm so glad I found these on their site for cheaper too - bargain yeaaaah. It was only around $114 in total including tax and shipping from the states. I checked out the Steve Madden store here in Toronto and the exact pair goes for about $150 plus all that tax. What a steal :) I also ordered some crystallized Swarovski necklaces from a website online. I've been looking for these babies everywhere for so long! I'm so glad I found them :) I'll post pictures when I receive them. Now... I've been looking at these obnoxious high heels from Topshop. My love for shoes will never fade away. We are inseparable LOL.

I will be headed to Montreal with one of my bestfriends for the weekend. So stoked but I hope my sickness doesn't carry into the weekend :(

You may say that I'm a dreamer

So it's the last month of summer and I think I'm set. I swear I'm trying to find every excuse to get out of Toronto, not that I hate it but I need to be able to enjoy what's left of summer before it ends. This weekend I spent it going over to the states and Niagara Falls with my family and fishing with a couple of friends. The boat will be truly missed once again. Camping is in 6 days woo!! Super stoked for the talks around the campfire while roasting marshmellows and attempting to remake our failed Claudhoppers (or however you spell it) from previous years and ghost stories? Sure why not. Except last night while hanging out with my friends... ghost stories are definitely NOT a good idea before going to bed. I had so much trouble falling asleep last night. Excited for the hikes, some more tanning, the cooking, and basically the group bonding time before we all get buussssy. After my camping trip next weekend, the weekend after will be a weekend spent in Montreal with one of my bestfriends that's like a sister to me <3 However...

Before summer ends, I'd like to....
1. Visit the Zoo, ROM and all of those Toronto tourist places, just because
2. Make a reservation for dinner at O'Noir
3. The annual CNE visit!
4. Meet up with old friend I go back to school
5. Trip to Cuba or Mexico before school starts?
6. Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours
7. Late night at Lakeshore
8. Visit Sibbald Point's beach at night. So beautiful there with the rocks
9. Eat as much Korean food as I can before I'm deprived in Hamilton hahaha (maybe I should just learn how to make PBS and bulgogi)
10. and I can't think anymore.
oh wait,
10. Ziplining
11. Center Island

Sincerely,
The adventure lovin' adrenaline addict.

!!!!
Fall is just around the corner and I can't wait anymoreeee, I want to buy my Steve Madden's for autumn and start layering my clothes for some odd reason. I think I'm bored of summer since the weather hasn't been 100% great lately.

Absolute bliss

Finally done blabbering on and on about my LA trip. *cheeeeeers.

Last Friday at Wetbar nightclub with some friends,

Hennes & Mauritz Dress and Clutch, F21 heels

In the last month or so of summer, I've just been trying to do as much as I can and see as many people as I can before I'm headed back to Hamilton for the school year. I can't believe that a month flew by thaaaat quickly. There's roughly one more month left until year numero deux begins. I'm really looking forward to this year academic-wise and community wise by being more involved. Also looking forward to meeting new people and making new memories with friends. Hopefully I'll land a part time job somewhere (fingers crossed)... not sure if that's a good idea or not. Definitely not sure if trying to balance work hours and school work is a good idea, but I can't help but feel terrible for spending my parents money for future outings. It feels sooo good to be independent and to be able to do things on my own. I feel as if I'm growing more and more each day not only as a woman, but as a daughter, sister, and just an overall individual. When it comes to spending money now,I've learnt to realize the value of it in terms of how difficult it is (well, technically... my summer job isn't that difficult, but I do put a lot of hours into it bahaha), and yet how simple it is to make that money and spend it. Not saying that I'm some crazy money spender... well I can be, but I have self-control! I promise :) It feels amazing to be spending my own money. My summer job as a teacher/counsellor at a kid's summer camp has been overall really good. My co-workers are great, no supervisors really..., kids can be a tad bit annoying, but it's alllll good.

In the pictures, I'm wearing my Bare Escentuals Buxom lip gloss in Kanani. This purchase is probably one of impulse purchases made out of guilty pleasure. The review: totally worth my twenty-five dollars. Happy with the colour pay off and the minty lip plumping sensation makes your lips feel so good bahaha. thumbs up
