The clouds looked so puffy - such a beautiful sight.

In Houston, Texas

Miles and miles of city lights

...And we're back!

Day One
Hello Cali! On Sunday June 20th, 2010 and Veronica made our way down to Toronto’s Pearson Airport. There was so much anticipation while waiting to check-in, go through customs and security to board our plane. We got to the airport roughly around 3 in the afternoon and our plane departed at 5:45 in the evening. Our hearts were bursting of excitement for this long-awaited trip down to Los Angeles, California. However, we were extremely nervous to get on the plane because the last time we both travelled by plane was about 6 – 9 years ago. Travelling this time around was an extremely different experience because it was both of our first time traveling by ourselves (we held hands while taking off in Toronto, seriously). Needless to say, we were both thrilled to take go and experience this trip together (REAL cheesy, I know).

We made a stop in Houston, Texas for about an hour before flying to Los Angeles. In Houston, we only had a short amount of time to catch our flight to L.A. We had to hop onto one of the trains to get to our terminal. There was an elderly women on our train that was lost and she only had 5 minutes left before her flight to Ontario, Cali. At first I tripped out because I thought she was going to Canada. After the woman found her way, we had to rush to our gate. The plane ride was incredibly uncomfortable for me once again. It sucked because my chair was broken again - I tried pressing my seat to go back, but apparently it moved the seat of the man beside me. I'd have to say, the expression on his face was hilarious. We were all laughing hahaha. We finally arrived in Los Angeles, California at about 10:30PM L.A time (I've never seen sooooo many city lights in my life before - it was beautiful!) and I was slightly frustrated because I couldn't find my luggage. I went to talk to some people and they said that my luggage came on a different flight so it would be late and that they would send it back to our hotel (well that killed our plan of exploring after settling into our hotel). I have to mention that while I was waiting to talk to those people, there were these young girls blabbering on and on about how filthy rich they were. They were talking about smoking (disgusted) and one of the girls said to another girl, "only you would smoke designer cigarettes" (even more disgusted). So, my view of L.A kind of stayed intact (typical spoiled rich kids lol).

After I figured things out at LAX we headed towards La Quinta Inn & Suites. It was slightly frustrating when we were checking in because my visa kept declining (damn you credit limit)!! Well after a little bit, we finally figured things out and just called it a night since we wanted to get up early for the next day.

Glitter on the streets

Didn't even realize the curling iron was still in her hair lol!

It’s June 12th and I'm still waiting on my visa card to arrive so I can finally book my hotel and flight tickets for L.A. It's so frustrating because I'm so anxious to get it over with. My friend and I are supposed to be leaving on Sunday June 20th which is soon (and I mean really really really, soon). But anyway...

Last night I went back to Toronto to meet up with the ladies for a night out. First we all went to a friend’s condo to for the pre-drink party. His condo was soo nice! I want to live in one now lolll. It was a crazy night with them at Skybar and Wetbar. Skybar was kind of dead – the music wasn’t that great and no one was dancing except for us. So we moved over to Wetbar which was surprisingly better. On the first floor they featured K-Pop. It was really fun but I would have to say I have never been around so many Koreans before LOL. They played a lot of Wonder Girls, Big Bang, Tae Yang, and Super Junior. After clubbing, a bunch of us went to grab some food at a restaurant and we headed back to Hamilton. Summer school is officially over in: 5 days! :)

With love

Blog addiction. I was so upset that I haven’t updated my blog in about a week because I didn’t touch my laptop last week to prevent myself from spending time browsing editorials, Facebook, Twitter, and other fashion blogs. Last weekend I managed to finally hit up Marble Slab - the infamous ice cream store. It was my friend’s birthday this past Monday and we celebrated on Saturday. I went downtown Toronto to spend the day shopping with her (Bloor/Yorkville + Eatons). We passed by the infamous Marble Slab and decided to give it a try to see what all the hype was about. How good could this ice cream be? Haha. I had such a hard time deciding on what to get because there were so many flavours, toppings, and cones to choose from. It was like an icecream heaven. I ended up getting Strawberry ice cream with real strawberries. It was ridiculously good. My friend got Cheesecake with Graham Crackers which was pretty good too. After doing some shopping, we went to meet up with a couple of our good friends for a delicious dinner at The Keg Steakhouse. Medium rare sirloin steak with yummy mashed potatoes. After dinner, we went to Dave and Busters. I think I’m addicted to that ONE game that gave me most of my tickets… haha. Once again, Happy 20th Birthday Love. I hope you had the best birthday. Being 20 will be ridic.

Inspiration

This is awesome. I just found out from Nylon Magazine that MAC's newest collab is inspired by Disney villains. Apparently it won't be in stores until Fall 2010. Although I'm not really a big fan of purple eyeshadows and what not I - I'm really curious to see how this collection will turn out.

Lavished

Throughout the last year I've been wanting to order clothing pieces from various U.K sites but because of the shipping costs I've never done it.  I've always wanted to order from Topshop, Asos, or Net-a-Porter. I'm super excited for Topshop's new makeup collection though. My friend Veronica mentioned that they will be opening up a store in Toronto. YES! I am absolutely in love with the nail polish colours from Topshop's make-up collection. Who is crazy for red-pink nail polishes and lip colours?! Me. They make me go crazy. I still want to try some China Glaze nail polishes but I'm skeptical about it because I have heard so many mixed reviews about them. But for the price... why not? *Shrugs. I'm still thinking about ordering from: http://www.8ty8beauty.com/nail_polishes/cg-a.htm. But we'll see because there are a couple Sally's near my home in Toronto that sell them for a decent price. I want the entire Kicks collection, ahhhhh.
