Couldn’t figure out my purpose till the sky changed scenes

This past weekend was an extraordinary long weekend because normally I wouldn't go out three nights in a row because I physically cannot handle the pain in my feet (hence the enormous amounts of blisters on my poor feet). Even though I wasn't too enthusiastic about going out the entire weekend, I saw numerous costumes that caught my attention at first glance. I noticed that there was a fair amount of people who dressed up as Lady Gaga and Avatar this year - not quite sure how I feel about the Avatar costume just yet. On Thursday I attempted to dress up as a S.W.A.T member with the other girls in CASS for a Halloween event. Friday and Saturday night, I was suited up as Wonderwoman (my initial costume plan).

One of my girlfriends came up to Hamilton for Saturday for a night out and just for the sake of finally visiting this sketchy town. Her presence reminded me much of home and how much I miss it right now (I haven't been home in almost a month). Hamilton is definitely not the nicest city but if you search, you can really see what it has to offer (that was just... slightly cheesy, oops *blushes). After a night of being Wonder woman and my girlfriend dressed up as a nerd, we went for an anticipated tour around my university's campus. She also accompanied me while I was in desperate need of grocery shopping. I still don't quite understand why she insisted on buying a batch of Bananas to luggage back to Toronto haha <3. Regardless of that, I'm glad she came for a visit and I'm extremely excited to go home next weekend to see my family and feast on some good food (Korean, Japanese, and some delicious dessert to satisfy my cravings? I think so). Overall, I had a relaxing weekend but there is much guilt inside of me for only being productive for less than five hours this entire weekend. Oh well, this weekend was a much deserved break from the last three weeks that consisted of overwhelming work from school. Heard it was  pouring with snow already back home... not sure how I feel about that because the coldness surely does not compensate for how pretty the snow looks

Melt my heart to stone

My housemate and spent hours baking sugar cookies and cupcakes and even more time decorating them. These baked goods made a huge contribution towards a good cause today. The student group that I'm part of at my university were selling all of our baked goods by donation towards a charitable organization called Operation Christmas Child. We fundraised for this charitable organization last year and basically we get a lot of shoe boxes, buy necessities for a certain age group, and wrap the present boxes up nicely so that children in Third World countries can also have the privilege that we have around the holidays.

Friday night and I'm sitting at home collecting my thoughts, but really I'm just collecting myself together. For the last couple of weeks I've been extremely drained from the amount of hours my life consisted solely at school. Every single day seems to consist of attending lectures, studying at the library for countless hours, eating, study, sleep - repeat. I love the fact that it's keeping me busy but it definitely makes me wish Summer was back again.

I miss going to the beach in the middle of the night with friends conversing, driving up north for campfires, random fishing trips in the east side of the city, getting frustrated because I'm not able to find what I want when I search from city to city for something I want from a store (yes, even the getting frustrated part), catching up with old and new friends, seeing my family everyday, having homecooked meals everyday, eating Korean food and drinking bubbletea whenever  I wanted, long drives to unknown destinations, sitting in my car waiting for the rain storm to stop, jamming to 70/80's songs with the girlfriend, dinner dates, going to new and old places, seeing friends in the most random places. Loll, I could go on for forever. I miss summer and laying low just spending quality time with the people I care about most.

Homecoming

Lacking blog posts for some reason lately. These pictures are from the homecoming game last weekend at our university. It was freezing cold that I only stayed up until the fourth period but that's okay because the score was 39-3, our win. For the lack of blog posts... I think maybe it's because I'm extremely overwhelmed with the amount of school work lately or I'm just not motivated. Even though I'm caught up with my school work and slightly ahead of the game at the moment, I'm still worried as midterm exams are coming up. I also turned down the job offer in Europe for next summer because I think that the additional expenses are ridiculous and not worth it. I'm just hoping that I don't regret the decision I made... so now I better find something to do next summer. Hoping to volunteer abroad but I'm still looking for an organization to go with. On a side note, I finally purchased my Wilfred Harem pants which I'm very excited about, but the weather is getting colder and colder, boo you winter weather.

There is a light that never goes out

Talula fedora, Talula acid wash tights, cropped top, jewelry from F21, thrifted cross body,  Talula purple tank, AA lace-bra, Zara belt, Talula floral skirt

The first week of school flew by extremely quick considering we had no access to internet yet. For the most part, the girls and I just strolled around Hamilton and hung out at home. I'm actually glad that class started already because it's keeping me busy. I get bored easily haha.

Whisper Something Fragile

It's been so long since I've updated my blog because so many things have happened lately! My 19th birthday recently passed and I celebrated with the girls with a lunch date and shopping then at The Keg for dinner. I've finally settled into my house in Hamilton. Things have been great but stressful. Midterms are already next week and summer hasn't even really began yet for me. I'm really envious of those who are already on vacation and those who are planning to go. Oh, I also scored a full time teaching job for the summer! The hours are going to be the death of me lol. Time to make some money back to pay off my debt. But honestly, I feel like I have not had a break.. well a "real" break for so long. I want a vacation, nowww. Someone bring me, please?

Glistening Sun

I am superbly excited for the beautiful warm weather within the next few days. Hopefully this trend continues as it is Spring!  This week I barely attended my classes because... well, just because. Blame it on the sun aha, I was outside studying for a bit sitting on the bench with the nice sun beaming onto me. So warm. On Tuesday I went across the boarder to Buffalo for a day of shopping and a break from school. I purchased several of tops and bottoms for the weather along with a pair of Hugo Boss and Armani Exchange sunglasses for my parents and a white bikini top from Victoria Secret. Hopefully they'll like my picks. I haven't been home in about two weeks, last weekend consisted of attending a kegger in Hamilton and lobster dinner with some friends with UFC then another party. Lol, I don't want to seem like a party girl! But, this weekend I will be attending one of my close friend's 19th birthday celebration and furniture shopping! I am super super super excited to move in to our house. The school year is almost done and I can't even believe it. First year flew by like it frosh week was just last week...

On a side note, I can't wait to head back home this weekend. I want to shop! I'm in need of new nail polish colours (turquoise is a must and hot pink is my favourite so I'm gonna stock up again. China Glaze or OPI? I want to find some summer dresses with floral ascents and some new sandals.Today is our CASS exec BBQ & end of the year party. Hopefully I can tan! I'm so pale right now.

I can't believe everything is coming to an end for first year! It's so saddening. I wonder how it's going to be when we all move out of res too.

Head up in the clouds

Lately, I've been stressing so so so much about school it's ridiculous. My situation is that, I came to this university for the Psychology Neuroscience and Behaviour program - but I couldn't believe it when I found out all the time and effort I spent into some core courses I needed to get into that program were for nothing. Marks not high enough.. truly heartbreaking. I can't even stress that enough... I feel like coming to this university has been such a waste and a huge mistake. But I can't say that because I love it here despite the traumas I've been having academically related. Now, what to do? I've been thinking for my entire life, and now I feel like I'm standing on the edge of the cliff with no where to go because my opportunities have passed me by. I could have went to school locally to save thousands of dollars, but I chose to come here for the experience that I've had so far and for the education of course. But now, I have to consider a different program. Perhaps Kinesiology or Social Psychology? I'm having a 5th meeting with my academic advisor tomorrow so I hope I can move on to something from there. Aside from that, I'm still looking for two more people to live in our house next year. I didn't think it would be so difficult to find just TWO extra people to live in our house, but actually it is. Now I'm just thinking, if we don't find these two people, then all of the girls are going to have to split the costs of the two rooms amongst us all. Which will suck SO much ass.

Anywayyyyyyyyyys, back to studying. (N)
